  • Skill Level: This is an Advanced Beginner / Intermediate level knitting pattern.

    The BOXY CARDIGAN (mohair edition) is worked from the top down, beginning with the back neck and shoulder stitches. Once worked down to length, stitches for the back are placed on hold and the front stitches are picked up and worked for each side. Stitches for all pieces are joined with underarm cast ons and worked back and forth until desired length is reached. The sleeves are picked up and worked in the round, and the collar is picked up and worked back and forth in double stockinette.

  • The DAPHNE DRESS is intended to be worn with a negative ease of approximately 0-5 cm / 0-2” for the bodice, and positive ease along the hips. The sizes are based on a bust circumference of approximately:

    71-76 (81-86) 91.5-96.5 (101.5-106.5) 111.5-117 (122-127) 132-137 (142- 147) cm / 28-30 (32-34) 36-38 (40-42) 44-46 (48-50) 52-54, (56-58) inches.

    Finished Garment Measurements

    Bust 71 (81) 91.5 (101.5) 111.5 (122) 132 (142) cm / 28 (32) 36 (40) 44 (48) 52 (56) inches finished bust measurement with 12.5-18 cm / 5-7 inches of positive ease built in.

    All final measurements for the garment are within the pattern.

  • Suggested Needles

    • 6.5 mm [US 10.5] circular needles, 40, 80/100 cm or size to obtain

      gauge.

    • 6 mm [US 10] circular needles 40, 80/100 cm for the collar.

    • 5.5 mm [US 9] circular needles 40 cm for the cuff and he

    Suggested Yarn Sample made in size XS with

    Yarn B - Drops Kidsilk Mohair in Dark Green, (25% Silk, 75% Mohair, 210 metres/229 yards).

    If you find mohair is an issue to wear, I suggest trying Suri Alpaca blend yarn. This fluffier and will create a more halo look in your work

    • Stitch markers (10-12)

    • Scissors to cut yarn.

    • Measuring Tape

    • 4-9 buttons 18-20 mm / 3/4 inch buttons (or desired size). Sample has 18 mm / 3/4 inch gold buttons. (This is dependant on how far apart you want your buttons and how long your final piece is. Some testers opted for up to 9 buttons spaced less further apart).

  • 22 stitches and 32 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch, on 3.75mm [US 5] needles.
